How do I start bidding for a ride?

To place a bid for your ride, follow these detailed steps:

  1. Open the App
    Launch the ride-hailing app on your smartphone.
  2. Tap “BID for Ride” on the Home Screen
    Instead of choosing the standard booking option, tap on the “BID for Ride” button prominently displayed on the home screen.
  3. Enter Pickup & Drop-off Locations
    Type in your starting point (pickup) and your destination (drop-off). You’ll see the route and estimated time on the map.
  4. Choose Your Vehicle Type
    After entering the locations, the app will prompt you to select a vehicle type:
    • UNIC X – Standard ride for individuals or small groups.
    • UNIC XL – Larger vehicle, ideal for more passengers or luggage.
  5. Tap on “Book & Pay”
    This will take you to the bidding screen, where you can propose your fare.
  6. Set Your Preferred Fare
    • Enter the amount you’re willing to pay for the ride.
    • This is your bid price, not a fixed price.
    • You’ll see a suggested fare range based on current rates.
  7. Submit Your Bid
    Tap the button to place your bid and initiate the request.

Q. What if no drivers accept my bid?
If no drivers respond to your bid:

  • You can increase your fare and resubmit.
  • You can wait and try again later if driver availability is low.
  • You can switch to a standard fare ride for instant booking.


Q. Is the bidding ride process safe and insured like regular rides?
Yes. All rides — whether booked at a fixed fare or via bidding — are:

  • Covered under the same insurance policies
  • Driven by verified and background-checked drivers
  • Tracked live in the app with all safety features enabled


Q. Will I still get driver details and tracking like regular rides?
Yes! Once a driver offer is accepted:

  • You’ll see full driver details (name, vehicle, rating).
  • You can track their arrival in real time.
  • In-app chat and call options are available for communication.


Q. Why would a driver accept my lower bid?
Drivers may accept your bid for several reasons:

  • They are already nearby
  • They’re heading in your direction
  • They prefer a quick fare over waiting
  • The fare you offered is reasonable for the trip
